Lyme Regis was the hometown of the famous palaeontologist, Mary Anning. Discover Mary Anning’s story, visiting the sites that shaped her life and her incredible contribution to British science and palaeontology. The walk will be packed with anecdotes and interesting things you may not have heard before. You'll even learn about Mary Anning's links to smuggling!

Walking tours last approximately 1 - 1.5 hours. These are often held at high tide, or when it is not possible to go out on the beach. This means if there is a fossil walk and Mary Anning walk on the same day, you can do both.

Walks will be at a gentle pace with plenty of stops, but there will be hills and steps to navigate.

Price: £6 per head

Suitable for: Age 7+

Duration: 1- 1.5 hours

Maximum number of people: 10 people

Meeting point: Anchor on the sea front, opposite the Rock Point Inn and next to Cobb Gate Car Park (with the clocktower).
